I don’t usually photograph a lot of engagement sessions in Clarksburg. My couples usually want to venture to Morgantown or another scenic location. These were the plans for Jordan and Scott… until we looked at the weather. Due to the storms that were creeping up on us, we decided to move the engagement session up and shoot nearby. I drove around to find spots that I would normally overlook.
I’m so happy Jordan and Scott embraced the rain. This engagement session is definitely a favorite.
Josh and I were married last Tuesday at the gorgeous Greenbrier Resort ! We are so thankful for all the love and support from our family and friends. Here is the only iPhone photo I took on our wedding day. Josh was so excited to pull this Coke can out of his bag. He had been hiding it in our pantry, a place he knows I hardly ever rummage through ha! I will blog the real photos as soon as I get them back. Until then, you have to check out our talented photographer, Gulnara Samoilova.
One of the wedding gifts I gave Josh is this custom family illustration. We both love it so so much! I always try to support other artists, not just photographers, but anyone who creates. With that being said, I’ve decided to give away a custom illustration by Rachel Tenny. Click on the link below to find out how you can enter. Giveaway starts tonight at 8pm eastern time and ends Friday 12am eastern. Winner will be announced on my IG and Facebook page Friday morning. Good luck!!
I met Tori and Jack back in December of 2012 while I was shooting Tori’s friends wedding.I was pretty blunt with Jack; I asked him when he was going to pop the question. I think I did this after finding out how long they had been together. These two are high school sweet hearts (although it was technically middle school 😉 )! Ten years later, they are still going strong. I could tell you how in love they are after all these years, but I don’t need to.The photos below do all the talking.
Tori and Jack, I am so glad you allowed me to photograph your special day. I held back a lot of tears that day because your wedding wasn’t about all the beautiful details you had, that was just a bonus. Your wedding day was truly about committing yourselves to each other before God. You two are the perfect example as to why I do this for a living. Because as cliche as it sounds, I love, LOVE.
A big congratulations for all that you have accomplished- marriage, graduate school, and now being brave enough to start a new chapter in North Carolina. I really hope I get to visit you two in September.
Notice the cork on the left
I can’t even handle these images of their first look. This is the love I was telling you about.
The photo of Tori on the right… gorgeous.
I got Jack to show that pretty smile of his!
As always, Bloom’s did an amazing job on all the flowers.
I’m not sure what was funny, but I love this photo. These two have been friends forever!
The sign on the right was probably the best thing Tori did for her wedding. I did not see one phone or camera. Everyone was present and we didn’t have any cell phones, or iPads blocking my viewI will be blogging the importance of this very soon. Stay tuned.
Tori’s brother walked her down the aisle. I love the way he looks at her. So sweet.
What a view!
How talented is Tori? She hand wrote all of these signs below. She did this while she was finishing up Pharmacy school, selling their home, finding a new home in North Carolina, and studying for her boards. You are super woman!
I’ve seen a lot of cakes in the last few years. This cake by far tops them all. There is so much detail and the photos don’t do it justice.
I loved Jack’s best man’s speech. I learned a lot about Jack, his love for the Lord, and his big heart.
I don’t know why, but Jack cracks me up!
She was a dancing machine!
I caught these two having a moment. Congrats on your upcoming nuptials!
At the last second, we decided to kick everyone out of the pavilion so Jack and Tori could have their last dance alone. They danced to Carolina In My mind.
And just because I really want to show you why Jack cracks me up, I stole a FB photo of Jack proposing. Long story short, Tori and Jack went to a Tim McGraw concert before she headed to a study abroad program in Egypt. She mentioned how good looking Tim McGraw looked in his all white attire. Jack took it to heart. When Tori arrived back in the states he proposed to her. In all white. How could she say no to that?! Jack, you keep your relationship alive and fresh. Don’t ever quit.

Last November I had the privelege of photographing a wedding in the Bahamas. This wasn’t your typical resort style destination wedding. The bride planned her wedding in Hope Town. An remote island that was settled in the late 1700’s and can only be accessed by boat. There are few cars and no telephones. It was an absolute honor to photograph Lauren and Don’s wedding! I can’t wait to share it with you.
For now you can enjoy some photos of the island. All the photos below were shot on 35mm Kodak Porta 400.
Here’s a sneak peak of Lauren and Don’s wedding.
